We are extremely passionate about ethical standards in the jewellery industry this is reflected in our business as we strive to offer the most ethical jewellery possible. Sourcing precious metals from a refinery that shares a similar vision so much so that they are 100% recycled and have been certified to show their continued efforts to maintain an ethical practice.
A message regarding ethical recycled metals from our supplier is below.

European Design - one of our three gemstone suppliers

Message from Daniel at European Design.

“Our gemstones are from Thailand and we have had a close relationship with many of the suppliers since the early 90s.

These companies are family owned and own the mine they extract from to have full control from start to finish (from mining, to cutting and final polishing).

Our preference is to work with Thai suppliers as their work ethic and culture is very respectful. I haven’t personally been but Mike will go twice a year and they will invite him to dinner with their family and employees present.

It really is a pleasure to work with them and it feels good to know the people behind the process instead of dealing with large corporations that own various mines without having the type of control that a family owned mine would have.”

Message from Anu from Thai gems

-We are in business with reputable dealers and manufacturers who are sourcing in a sustainable and ethical way. As each member of the supply chain depends on the other for their cash flow. Profits are shared throughout the supply chain - from the person who finds the rough (the rarer it is the more lucrative the reward), the land owner, the license owner, the person who owns the water pump, to the cutter and to the ultimate buyer. Prospering each member and their families of this vast industry.

-Sapphires and rubies originate from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Australia, Madagascar, Vietnam, Myanmar - these regions are/have become conflict-free. Most our gemstones are from these regions.

-At Thai Gems Export Ltd, we value all of our stakeholders highly, from employees to suppliers and look to build an enduring and trust-worthy business with customers. With all the treatments going on in the trade, we believe full disclosure is a must. Dealing in an ethical is a way to create good karma and a fruitful business.

Thanks so much for your interest in Bobbi’s ethical practices if you have any questions or concerns please reach out through contacts.
