In celebration of summertime I am sharing my spicy veggie burger recipe with you to try out and enjoy!

I haven't really had many cravings during this pregnancy but the one that has stuck is spicy foods. This summer I thought I would spice up my veggie burger recipe.

Recently I received a complementary package in the mail from Hello Flavour through Influenster where I received Clubhouse spicy montreal steak spice, Clubhouse brown sugar bourbon steakhouse burger sauce, Frank's Redhot sauce.

I was so inspired to incorporate the ingredients they sent me. And I am so glad I did!! cause this veggie burger is so good just the right amount of spice accompanied by a smokey BBQ flavour.

Bobbi's Veggie Burger List of Ingredient

1 cup of long grain wild rice cooked

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 of a med white onion (sauteed with olive oil.)

3 tsp of Clubhouse spicy montreal steak spice

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 1/2 black beans cooked and drained (it took me 2-3 hours to prep the black beans from dry to cooked) to save time you can purchase canned black beans.

1/4 cup of flour

3 tbsp of Club House brown sugar bourbon steakhouse burger sauce

1 tbsp of Frank's Redhot sauce


Pre cook your rice and black beans if making from dried beans.

Mash or blend your black beans to a smooth consistency.

Add to the mashed black beans 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 3 tsp spoons of the Clubhouse spicy montreal steak spice, brown sugar, 1/4 cup of flour, 3 tbsp of Clubhouse brown sugar bourbon steakhouse burger sauce, 1 tbsp of Frank's Redhot sauce.

Once you have all the above ingredients incorporated into the black beans you can add the onions and rice.

Form the mixture into appropriate sized patties and refrigerate for 1/2 to 1 hour.

I cooked my burgers on the barbecue at med high for 10 mins each side.
